Wanted: Louboutin shoes… please?
I know, I know, not emerging and bloody expensive but hey, a girl can dream and as it’s Xmas tomorrow, I’m dreaming big time! WANT, WANT, WANT and WANT some more!!!! Mh that might not work… please Santa, could I have these…
…for every day wear?
…for Christmas eve dinner?
…to celebrate New Year?
…because I don’t have open back and toe leopard print shoes yet?
…for rainy days?
…for next spring?
…because… mhh… just because I’ve been a good girl and they would look delicious on my foot?
…I could go on but if you are reading this Santa, I’m not that fussy and any old Louboutin would do!!
Will you go maxi this summer?
You might remember Tracey’s review of her Isabella Oliver reversible coat last year which was a staple in her wardrobe this winter and oh so needed! I’ve stumbled across Isabella Oliver quite some time ago and although known for their maternity wear, their 365 collection is a hidden gem!
Lovely fabrics, cuts and versatile garments make these investment pieces. So you can imagine how excited I was when I got to choose a piece from their current spring/summer 10 collection and with a maxi dress craze going on as well as the sun being out, I went for the ‘Rebecca Maxi Dress’.
Actually it wasn’t really my decision but Tracey’s as she convinced me to go with something different. I wouldn’t have chosen this shape or colour, I never thought I’d own something tangerine! But I’m glad I did and putting on the dress, I instantly felt amazing. The jersey material clings at the right places and feels unbelievably comfortable, I want to sleep in it!! It’s definitely going to come out many times as with most maxis you can dress them up or down, it’s the perfect piece for money conscious people (I know, I know… it doesn’t really count as a justification).
So for me all that is left is to wait for a tan and if you like the thought of a maxi dress, check out these lovely jersey dresses I’ve come across:
What’s in your wardrobe: Deborah Clements
Some of you know Deborah as the beautiful-handbag designer behind Clements and the author of our ‘Secret Diary of a Handbag Designer‘ posts. Oh, and the one who designed our super hot logo. Fresh-faced and bronzed having just come back from her South African wedding, Deborah is all ready to brave the colder climate and show us her keep-warm Spring(ish!) wardrobe.
Vintage Suede Jacket ∨
^ Debs: “The 70′s suede jacket is my latest Ebay purchase. I’m really into suede and cant wait to work it into my wardrobe. The grey jumper top is actually a cardigan back to front, a great way to get more out of you wardrobe and get the new sweater jumper look”.
Stripe Jacket ∨
^ Debs: “Another daytimer outfit. My black and white striped jacket is my one of my favourites. It goes with lots of stuff and a subtle statement piece. I am a sucker for stripes but this is rather elegant as it’s made from a silk chiffon type fabric. I’m into white denims a lot again and they are a bit more stylish than normal jeans. The gold converse have that extra edge to the normal converse”.
Blue Cords ∨
^ Debs: “Most of my outfits are daytime weekend styles as I am a mother now – not much freedom for partying anymore! Now that spring is here I like to wear brighter colours and mixed with trench is classic and stylish addition and suits absolutely everything. I love the bright blue of the cords with softer warmer colours just to tone them down a notch”.
LFW designers we love: BodyAmr
I met Amr, the cute designer behind BodyAmr, at Somerset House where he was exhibiting at LFW. I was so blown away with the vibrant colours and figure-hugging outfits. The display was especially eye-catching…I loved the contrasting simplicity of the concept against the luminous creations. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Amr Ali is a London based designer who studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design and Middlesex University, set up his own label in his final year at college and blew everyone away with all of his collections.
We’re in the middle of writing more pieces on the designers exhibiting at Somerset House and we will of course be giving you all a snapshot of designers that caught our eye. In the meantime, we received images for S/S 10 from BodyAmr so we thought we’d start off our one of many designer profiles from LFW with this label.
Here’s the S/S 2010 Collection we saw at Somerset House…

I was lucky enough to get a quick interview with Amr…
