We’re also going to be checking out all the new and exciting exhibitors. It’s usually here that I fall in love. And as always, will be taking spotted shots of you lovely people throughout the week and weekend.
Is it really that time again?
Oh we just love September and I’m sure you don’t have to guess why! We’re getting our schedule together for London Fashion Week which also means it’s nearly London Fashion Weekend time! As it’s just around the corner, tickets are being snapped up which is why we thought we’ll remind you to get yours.
We’ll be there, spotting, shopping and sipping champagne. We had a great time last February and my highlight is still finding my Beatrix Ong shoes, which I treasure like no other pair and I still can’t believe I only paid a mere £69!!! £69!!!!! I still get a little heart flutter when I look at them.
So we’re very excited that The London Fashion Weekend is welcoming back the designers such as Alex Monroe, American Retro, Ant!podium, Beatrix Ong, Ducie, DNKY Jeans, Juicy Couture, Lola Rose, Mawi, Pauric Sweeney and Sass & Bide.
And say hello to some Fashion Weekend first-timers including Angel Jackson, Bassike, Donna Ida, French Sole, Nicole Richie’s lines House of Harlow and Winter Kate, Me & Em, Nicholas King, Olivia Rubin, Tara Lacey and Twenty8Twelve.
Spring/Summer10 Trends, London Fashion Weekend tells us how it is

Sitting at the Trends Show on a Thursday night at Somerset House for LFW was a treat to say the least! The crowd of beautifully chic or fabulously dishevelled ladies made my ‘I have an actual day job’ clothes feel dull and uninspired! It’s definitely true that women only dress to impress other women! I was totally over excited!
Candy Rock ∨

The first trend to come out on the catwalk called Candy Rock was pretty much personified by an amazing iconic Hervé Leger dress in a soft baby blue. There were pastel shades, soft frills and gentle waves dominating this trend which really brought to life the sweet element of all the pieces. This trend is very wearable with simple styling which I really like!
Swallows & Amazons ∨

As far as trends go, the introduction of Swallows & Amazons as a trend struck me as a strange one… but what a fabulously strange one! Literally a smorgasbord of micro-trends all on one catwalk – from breton to double denim (yes we are back in the 80’s!) and underwear as outerwear. This was more eclectic and generally a bit random but brilliant!
Spotted at London Fashion Weekend & After Party
Although I planned to take lots of pictures, and there were certainly enough at the London Fashion Weekend, I got side tracked with shopping! I loooove my new Beatrix Ong shoes
And before I got too carried away with chatting at the after party in the Waldorf Astoria I managed to snap a few more.

Gladiators Doom & Enigma. She’s wearing an Isabella Oliver dress and I couldn’t stop starring at her amazing arms!

Get ready for the Essential Designer Shopping
The moment the London Fashion Week closes its doors, another one opens and it does so for all of us! London Fashion Weekend is taking place from 25th – 28th February, letting you shop from over 100 designers selling a range of samples, one-off designs, current and past seasons collections at up to 70% off RRP.
There were some amazing bargains to be had last year and the list of designers looks as good this year, if not better. The catwalk rounds up the key looks for Spring/Summer 2010 with help of a selection of British and International fashion forward designers including Betty Jackson, Herve Leger, Jasper Conran, Alice by Temperley, Ashley Isham, Twenty8Twelve and Jaeger London.

London Fashion Week A/W 2010
Everyone is gearing up for this month’s London Fashion Week. The designers are making the finishing touches to their collection, the exhibitors are making sure they have enough marketing material and business cards to hand out, the buyers are finalising their ‘who to see’ plan and the bloggers are scheduling their weeks in the run up to, through and past fashion week.
With so much to cover your first port of call must be exploring the designer exhibitions at Somerset House and the ON|OFF Section at Victoria House. Back in September, we covered BodyAmr, Kron by KronKron, Beekay, Beautiful Soul, Rachael Cassar, Rocio Bags and a few others from the exhibitions and this season we’re planning on covering a lot more!

Let the shopping begin at London Fashion Weekend

I’ve just come back from Somerset House and 180 The Strand, which after a week of the London Fashion Week is now kicking off the London Fashion Weekend in association with Elle where over 120 designers are offering fabulous discounts for their autumn/winter 09 collection. The event started yesterday and will be going on until the 27th September.

For me the highlight was certainly the catwalk which was hosted by Louise Row, who not only looked beautiful but was brilliant.

And check out the shoes!!

Sadly my camera by then was dying and I only managed to grab a few shots.

Manish Arora, I loved his animal inspired collection, nicely quirky

Jaeger London

After the catwalk, with the goodie bag over my shoulder and a glass of champagne consumed, the shopping continued. Did I find anything? I did, but not for myself, a wicked leather jacket for my friend for £49!!
