Kali Arulpragasam’s jewellery line, Super Fertile

Looking through all of Kali Arulpragasam’s collections throughout the years from her jewellery line, Super Fertile, it’s clear that she has never waivered from her original objective, to highlight the issues facing the world today. Kali is M.I.A’s sister, and they’re both into the whole politics game…they want people to question and debate the things that are going in the world and not be entranced by the glitz portrayed in the media. I really admire Kali, she’s gone against the mainstream and made Super Fertile completely her own. Take a look at all her Collections on her Super Fertile site, but I’ve focused on my top 3 Collections from her site.

LITTER – Accessory designers we’re loving

Picture-32

Rachael Mann and Mackenzie Burdick have a growing line of headpieces, bullet-adorned leg straps and to-die-for shoe chains that they handcraft from vintage trinkets and flea market finds. Since LITTER’s inception in December 2008, these stunning sisters have gone from barely scraping together studio rent to Harper’s Bazaar and New York Fashion Week. Not too shabby for a recent fashion design graduate and interior design expert…

These have the bullets and leather on the back of the heel, and on the front have police badges with heavy stainless steel chains. There are only 2 of these available, as the police badges came from a vintage belt. These are so unique and seriously mean business.

On the left is a piece from LITTER’s new collection of shoe jewelry that can be worn with different kinds of shoes. Heels, wedges. sandals, or just make your feet pretty bare foot.

I would definitely love to grab a few of these pieces, which are sure to turn a few heads for any occasion.
