Mireille Dagher – Salon de Couture
Couture in Lebanon is huge and couture designers are in abundance, so there are a good few that really stand out. Looking at the couture houses in Lebanon, I came across Mireille Dagher, a couture designer whose focus is to create beautiful and elegantly detailed wedding gowns and evening dresses.

I can definitely see myself in some of these dresses, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a long wait!

Lebanese fashion
I remember going to Beirut when I was younger and being wowed by all the glamorous women around the place who would literally look amazing at every occassion. Don’t get me wrong, every culture has glamour, but this is something I’ve never seen before. Women who would go to every length to look perfect, from tattoo’ing eyeliner, lip liner and even eyebrows (don’t EVER tattoo your brows, I wanted to try it and I looked permanently angry for around 6 months until the tattoo wore off) to having their hairdressers on speed dial.
I’m off to Beirut today and I’m planning on blogging about the Lebanese fashion and culture while I’m out there. Lebanon is a place where women are draped in designer labels and dripping with jewels, and the men are more interested in fashion and shopping than football. I can’t wait to interview some of these people!
