What’s in your wardrobe: Claire Heggadon & Baby Sylvie
HOT MAMA!!! Claire used to work over at Pod1 with Nat, Tracey and I and we had to have her and her gorgeous little girl Sylvie on our wardrobe feature. How Claire manages to look so polished with a baby in tow is a mystery to us (we reckon it’s just bloody good genes) but this gives me some hope that one day I might be able to pull off looking this hot with a gorgeous snotty baby on my arm too…well, here’s hoping hey?!
JACKET

Claire: This dress I got for a fiver from Ebay, the label is in Japanese so I have no idea of the make, but I love it because its like a proper Japanese schoolgirl dress, very naughty, and a bit too short! The jacket is real fur, apparently its made of muscat – I have no idea what that is but they make very warm snuggly coats! I get why people don’t approve of fur, but personally I don’t see the difference between that and eating meat, neither are essential and its up to the individual.
Are high heels healthier than trainers?
I kid you not but yes they are! Well… they are still not the healthiest but at least a new study reported in the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation’s journal has found that runners who wear typical, modern running shoes do more damage to their hip, knee and ankle joints than running while barefoot or wearing high-heeled shoes.
The research was based on 68 healthy female runners with an average age of 37 years old. They provided each of them with a typical running shoe and collected data on their joints using a motion analysis system while they ran on a treadmill with the sneakers and barefoot.
What would you do? Stop running, run in heels or barefoot?

Luella stops trading…WHYYYYY?!
Luella Bartley, the young British designer whose quirky yet feminine designs have adorned model Kate Moss and singer Lily Allen, has become the latest fashion casualty of the recession.
Bartley’s label, Luella, ceased trading after its ready-to-wear producer closed last month and its main financial backer pulled the plug on any further investment, the company said in a statement emailed to Reuters on Wednesday. BOOOOO! This is such bad news…I have a gorgeous little Luella purse and was planning on buying it a sister in the shape of a bag from their AW 09 collection.
VSQ Ltd, which also distributes for Armani, advised Luella that it had decided not to invest further in the label, the statement mentioned.
“This is a very disappointing situation for everyone involved with the brand,” Luella Bartley said.
Well put Luella…we’re all crying into our Luella bags :’(
Fashion flash back – military style in 1994
We all know the world and fashion goes round and round. I’ve stumbled across a video about the military trends in 1994 and you could easily wear quite a few of the outfits and fit right into the military trend. Oh and spot a young Naomi and Kate Moss in there!!
I do prefer the 2009 version though as it’s become much more edgy.
