Beirut calling – Bags
I’ve just come back from Beirut after spending a couple of weeks grazing out there whilst the lovely Nat has been blogging every day the trooper! My trip wasn’t just a holiday though, it was in preparation for my permanent move out there in the next couple of months – yes, my secret destination is Beirut city! None of my friends believe that I’m actually doing it this time; it’s pretty much been the same story since graduating – but it really is happening – promise!
Deciding to move wasn’t an easy task…but my 2 weeks there finally convinced me that this was a challenge I was up for…the middle-east’s fashion capital!
Downtown Beirut
Souks in Beirut
In a series of blogs, we’ll explore the the fashion and lifestyle do’s and don’ts in this small city, preparing me for what’s to come.
Bag Ladies
There are 2 types of females in Beirut. Those who are driven by designer brands and the rest of us who are content to explore.
Jimmy’s Trainer hunt
As much as we love all the established talent out there, Emerging Fervour is all about emerging talent, however….this is one not to be missed and we wanted to fill you in on the action too.
To celebrate Jimmy Choo’s first trainer collection, they’ve launched a city-wide treasure hunt giving you the chance to win a pair of their trainers.
Follow the elusive Jimmy Choo trainers as they make their stylish journey around London. Checking in at the Saatchi Gallery to Shoreditch House – the trainers will update you on their whereabouts in real time. And if they check into a venue near you, you can catch them to keep them.
This all started a couple of days ago and is all still very new so pass it on and make sure you check Twitter or Facebook for the next location!

Go nude for Spring/Summer 10

Nude is everywhere this Spring/Summer and you won’t get away from it. It can work amazingly well or you might turn into a ghost and it washes you completely out (as one of the models shows, above; she looks like she needs a good meal and some sun).
I’m hesitant to put myself in nude as, with a winter complexion, I feel it washes me out or maybe I have not found the right shade yet. I can however accessories in nude and as I’ve been looking for ages for some nude shoes, I’m chuffed it’s coming back and the selection is getting better by the day. A good nude shoe will not only elongate your legs but also go with everything in your wardrobe, and you know it will stick around and then come back, they are an investment!!
I’ve searched the internet wide and far and have put my top finds together. My winners belong sadly in the designer world and might break the bank, but they are just so delicious I have to share them and don’t worry, I found some high-street beauties too.
What’s in your wardrobe: Claire Heggadon & Baby Sylvie
HOT MAMA!!! Claire used to work over at Pod1 with Nat, Tracey and I and we had to have her and her gorgeous little girl Sylvie on our wardrobe feature. How Claire manages to look so polished with a baby in tow is a mystery to us (we reckon it’s just bloody good genes) but this gives me some hope that one day I might be able to pull off looking this hot with a gorgeous snotty baby on my arm too…well, here’s hoping hey?!
JACKET

Claire: This dress I got for a fiver from Ebay, the label is in Japanese so I have no idea of the make, but I love it because its like a proper Japanese schoolgirl dress, very naughty, and a bit too short! The jacket is real fur, apparently its made of muscat – I have no idea what that is but they make very warm snuggly coats! I get why people don’t approve of fur, but personally I don’t see the difference between that and eating meat, neither are essential and its up to the individual.
Are you excited about H&M & Jimmy Choo?

You, Your Shoes and 72
Jimmy Choo and the Elton John AIDS Foundation have launched Project PEP to support Simelela Rape Centre in Cape Town and a fabulous collection has been designed where 25% of each sale will be donated but that’s not all.
We can all do something and help raise awareness by entering the Jimmy Choo photo competition.
Help supporting a centre which helps victims of abuse with the vital HIV preventative PEP medication and provide the infrastructure for medical, counselling and legal support by entering the competition!!
Not that it needs it but there is even a grand prize where winner receives 7 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes and 2 handbags, plus there are 100 exclusive Jimmy Choo runner up prizes.
I’ve been racking my brain about an entry ever since and I think I know what I’m going to do, so as soon as it’s up there you’re the first to know!!
If you’ve submitted yours already or as soon as you have, let us know as we’d love to see it and of course vote for you.
