Emerging Fervour

Well, the music of this four piece band from Manchester hard to describe in one sentence. To be honest, it’s hard to describe at all. I would call it a sort of “layered pop”. The first time I listened to MY KZ UR BF from Everything Everything (my keys your boyfriend) I wasn’t sure if it was just one song, or if there were playing three songs at once. They put so many ideas into one song, other artists fill a whole album with. First of all the falsetto voice of singer Jonathan is definitely one big attribute of their music and pretty impressive, but Jeremy’s and Alex’ clever backing vocals stand out as well. I like the fact that they’re doing much more than just uh-uh-uh or la-la-la. And not to be forgotten the drums. I really like Mike, he plays like a brass band drummer on wave. Plus a few “we couldn’t decide between The Cure and Hellacopters” guitar riffs and your ears are overextended. But it doesn’t matter, cause your body wants to move and the upcoming album will hopefully offer a lot of chances for this. Until then buy the singles Suffragette Suffragette, Photoshop Handsome and MY KZ UR BF and celebrate this wicked pop!
