Shoes We Spotted at LFW
My other obsession which got fed at the LFW are shoes!! My oh my what lovely pairs walked around, here are a few of my favourites:

Go nude for Spring/Summer 10

Nude is everywhere this Spring/Summer and you won’t get away from it. It can work amazingly well or you might turn into a ghost and it washes you completely out (as one of the models shows, above; she looks like she needs a good meal and some sun).
I’m hesitant to put myself in nude as, with a winter complexion, I feel it washes me out or maybe I have not found the right shade yet. I can however accessories in nude and as I’ve been looking for ages for some nude shoes, I’m chuffed it’s coming back and the selection is getting better by the day. A good nude shoe will not only elongate your legs but also go with everything in your wardrobe, and you know it will stick around and then come back, they are an investment!!
I’ve searched the internet wide and far and have put my top finds together. My winners belong sadly in the designer world and might break the bank, but they are just so delicious I have to share them and don’t worry, I found some high-street beauties too.
Fashion trends from 2000 to 2009 – NY Magazine
With 2010 fast approaching, I was intrigued to know how our trends have developed over these past 9 years so after taking a look at New York Magazine’s trends of the 00′s I thought it would be great to include it in the run up to 2010.
Take a look at the years piece by piece including Uggs 03-06, skinny jeans 07-present, the rise of Louboutin 04-present, size zero 07-present and many more!
Jennifer Lopez is throwing on her Louboutins
Ahh ahh
Ohh ohh yeah
Ohh ohh
Aaaahhhhhh..
She’s throwing on her Louboutins…
Long song short, whenever she’s having enough of it, she’s throwing on her Louboutins!! Our kind of woman, leaving in style!
Sadly this time some of her fans seem to walk away from this song. The response could certainly be better and reading a few different blog comments are anything but positive.
And I have to agree with most of them, the only exciting bit for me is the word Louboutin being repeated over and over again, but then again, I am strangely obsessed with his shoes.
What do you think?
Guess who’s done it again?

I know I keep going on about Christian Louboutin but how could you not?! He’s only done it again and topped the last collaboration.
Together with Mattel he’s created three Barbie dolls available in Louboutin shoe boxes, and they come with mini Louboutins!!! How fabulous are those boots, how can I be so jealous of Barbie?!
They will be sold for via BarbieCollector.com & Net-a-porter.com

Drink in style

We loved Christian Louboutin’s collaboration with Laduree producing yummi maroons and we’re so excited we can now wash them down in style!!
The French say Champagne should be drunk straight from a beautiful lady’s slipper, which we’re not sure we 100% agree as that could get quite smelly. But we love the glass shoe which Christian Louboutin designed in partnership with Piper Heidsieck for the Ritual Box Set. I would love to get my hands on one of them!!!

I’ve had my first shoegasm!!!
No really just because I spotted Christian Louboutin strolling into Somerset House at London Fashion Week!!! He looked great and I especially loved the leopard print shoes! I so badly wanted to go up to him and say hi, but chickened out to begin with…I mean look, it’s CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN!

All day we’ve been seeing some amazing Christian Louboutin shoes and earlier on we couldn’t miss these amazing ones that belong to Melissa, Anne and Nour.

It turned out that they all work for Christian Louboutin and were awaiting his arrival.

After the catwalk show I spotted Anne and asked if it would be ok to have a picture taken with him and hurrah, he was up for it!! I felt like a teenager meeting her pop idol, all nervous and so excited; meeting Christian Louboutin is the last thing that I expected to happen to me. I just about managed to say I loved his shoes and a quick “thank you”, but this brief encounter was plenty to keep us happy all day!
Emerging Fervour take a walk in the park…
When?: 6 September 2010 : 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Thank you everyone who sponsored us for our High Heel Fashion Walk in aid of Action for Children. We managed to raise £180 for this cause…amazing. Thank you!

I’m writing this piece after just having finished the walk with Nathalie and although I almost went flying a few times throughout on some stray twigs and a pebble, I managed to stay upright for the entire walk (thank you to Nathalie’s arm) and make it to the finish line in one piece!

As you can see, Nathalie looks very glam, rocking her Urban Outfitters jumpsuit with her beautiful Scorah Pattullo ‘Natalie’ heels…

Here I’ve decided to go casual with Topshop jeans and a Zara jacket. I love these Liu Jo shoes; they can rock any outfit – no?!

Poor Tracey-Kay! After getting all excited about this walk – she had to cut it short after an accident on the way involving her flip flops, sharp gravel and an unfortunate trip resulting in a very sore and bleeding toe!
It’s the perfect coffee table book

Since being the proud owner of the ‘Shoe Design’ book, I’ve opened it many times and love it.
Its aim is to show us a variety of creativity found in footwear design today. Rachel Jones and Aki Choklat, the editors, have certainly managed that with amazing photos of shoes from nearly 50 designers all over the world.
From classics such as Christian Louboutin or Manolo Blahnik
to the quirky creations of Terry de Havilland or Natacha Marro
or to the absolute crazy ones of Eelko Moorer or Marloes Ten Bhömer

the striking images do the designers tribute.
If you’re crazy about shoes, this is the book to get. You can get it through Amazon.
So who is your favourite shoe designer?
