Chima Anya’s ‘Death’ video trailer

A couple of months back, I joined Chima and a few of his friends to be a part of his video for his new single ‘Death’.

The trailers out! The trailers out!

Although my excitement faded only a little when I realised that by debut wasn’t in the trailer but will be when the full video is out – but check this out out to wet your appetite for the full video that’s out in the next few weeks.

Make sure you catch Chima Anya at the Barfly in Camden on April 9th – see our post on this! Buy your tickets now from the Barfly site!

I need love, you need love, we need love

With Valentines Day fast approaching, a friend of mine, Chima Anya decided to create this video from his ‘New Day’ album. The song is called ‘Cupid’s Net’.

Chima is actually a doctor (he graduated and everything and works in a hospital somewhere in London) but his passion is music and at this rate he may need to give up his day job. At the risk of sounding like I’m kissing his ass…he really does make great music and I’m really proud like a big sister. I’ve known Chima for almost 10 years now, ever since he was a tiddly 16 year old. It was our love for underground hip hop that got us chatting and he’s been one of my biggest influences in music to this day.

Chima’s always been picky with what hits his ears. I spent years having my radio hijacked on my car every time he got in, armed with his cd case. I used to get annoyed but gave in eventually when I realised my Foxy Brown was in no way competition to his 57th Dynasty. So it’s come as no surprise that he created ‘I Love Rap’ back in October last year, a video where he spreads the love of Rap in London, Spain and China (town) – this is also taken from his upcoming album – New Day

Up until a year or so ago, Chima performed as GTA with Ineffable, Neill Timms and although Chima is focusing more on solo stuff, there could be a double performance sometime in the future we hope!
