I’d been looking forward to BodyAmr’s SS11 show since forever. Not only is he a fantastic designer, but he is so lovely – I can’t get enough of him.

So, on with the show, which kicked off with a stunning looking Daisy Lowe wearing a slashed to the naval dress…my favourite of the show.

It goes to show that you don’t have to be a stick-thin model to pull off BodyAmr’s outfits. I’m not saying that the lovely Daisy is anything but a gorgeous specimen, but she happens to have a butt and hips – fashion blasphemy. But she rocked that outfit – and not only she rock BodyAmr, Amber Rose (Kanye West’s ex) did too. It seems you need to have curves to be a BodyAmr woman.

We’re also going to be checking out all the new and exciting exhibitors. It’s usually here that I fall in love. And as always, will be taking spotted shots of you lovely people throughout the week and weekend.

I was so looking forward to seeing Bodyamr’s long-awaited AW10 collection during LFW, but it just wasn’t meant to be. When I got to the door, I realised that I didn’t have an invite and because Freemasons was RAMMED, there was no way of getting in without an invite. Even though I didn’t get to see the show, Bodyamr sent through these images that are simply stunning. It’s a little compensation…but the green monster is still inside!

I’m completely in love. I’d probably pop right out of this, but a girl can always dream…∨

I sent through some questions to Amr about this collection and the SS11 coming up and here is what he had to say…

Judging from your activity over the past few months, since SS10 – it’s been a bit of a whirlwind for you…how’s it been?

Amr: Busy!! We had great press and dressed everyone from Demi Moore to Cheryl Cole to Beyonce. It’s been fun and exciting to see the brand grow so rapidly in the space of a season.

How did you find London and Paris this season?

Amr: We picked up 5 new stores including Bloomingdales and Boutique 1, so I can’t complain…

Tell us a bit about your AW10 collection…what was your thinking behind it?

So I thought I’d try and get your attention with this massive image, taken during S/S 10 back in September. As I said in my previous post, we’ve just been really overwhelmed with the support we’ve been getting and everyday we’re adding to our things to cover. So I’ve mentioned ON|OFF, which we’re planning on covering extensively, but there’s also Somerset House Exhibitions – which is just my favourite… it’s a place where lots of fabulous designers will be showcasing their collections including accessories, ready-to-wear, installations, Headonism (the millinery exhibition), the Lingerie Boudoir, the NEWGEN exhibition, estethica, the new Digital Presentation Space, Made by Scandinavians showcase and a whole load more.

Righty… enough with the small talk and time for my top 5 exhibitors at Somerset House this season. As we’ve already covered BodyAmr and Beautiful Soul, we needn’t declare our love all over again…they know we love them!

Everyone is gearing up for this month’s London Fashion Week. The designers are making the finishing touches to their collection, the exhibitors are making sure they have enough marketing material and business cards to hand out, the buyers are finalising their ‘who to see’ plan and the bloggers are scheduling their weeks in the run up to, through and past fashion week.

With so much to cover your first port of call must be exploring the designer exhibitions at Somerset House and the ON|OFF Section at Victoria House. Back in September, we covered BodyAmr, Kron by KronKron, Beekay, Beautiful Soul, Rachael Cassar, Rocio Bags and a few others from the exhibitions and this season we’re planning on covering a lot more!

We always knew BODYAMR was special and it seems that we’re not the only ones, check out these celebs wearing pieces from this amazing designer….

Katy Perry wears BODYAMR to the 16thAnnual MTV Europe Music Awards. Perry had the prestigious honour of hosting and performing at the international star-studded award show featuring Beyonce, Jay-Z, Shakira and Leona Lewis.

After walking the carpet in a formal gown, Perry quickly changed into a chic BODYAMR cocktail dress that was more indicative of her glamorous, retro-inspired style. She selected a fitted jersey cocktail dress with sequin detail in a light blush colour from the designer’s latest Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.

Katharine McPhee complimented her new rock n’ roll hairstyle in a figure-flattering BODYAMR jersey gown in peacock blue with black patent leather trim and open back.

I met Amr, the cute designer behind BodyAmr, at Somerset House where he was exhibiting at LFW. I was so blown away with the vibrant colours and figure-hugging outfits. The display was especially eye-catching…I loved the contrasting simplicity of the concept against the luminous creations. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Amr Ali is a London based designer who studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design and Middlesex University, set up his own label in his final year at college and blew everyone away with all of his collections.

We’re in the middle of writing more pieces on the designers exhibiting at Somerset House and we will of course be giving you all a snapshot of designers that caught our eye. In the meantime, we received images for S/S 10 from BodyAmr so we thought we’d start off our one of many designer profiles from LFW with this label.
