Is it really that time again?

Oh we just love September and I’m sure you don’t have to guess why! We’re getting our schedule together for London Fashion Week which also means it’s nearly London Fashion Weekend time! As it’s just around the corner, tickets are being snapped up which is why we thought we’ll remind you to get yours.

We’ll be there, spotting, shopping and sipping champagne. We had a great time last February and my highlight is still finding my Beatrix Ong shoes, which I treasure like no other pair and I still can’t believe I only paid a mere £69!!! £69!!!!! I still get a little heart flutter when I look at them.

So we’re very excited that The London Fashion Weekend is welcoming back the designers such as Alex Monroe, American Retro, Ant!podium, Beatrix Ong, Ducie, DNKY Jeans, Juicy Couture, Lola Rose, Mawi, Pauric Sweeney and Sass & Bide.

And say hello to some Fashion Weekend first-timers including Angel Jackson, Bassike, Donna Ida, French Sole, Nicole Richie’s lines House of Harlow and Winter Kate, Me & Em, Nicholas King, Olivia Rubin, Tara Lacey and Twenty8Twelve.

Step into Spring & Summer in kitten heels

As I’m looking for a few spring/summer shoes to update my wardrobe, I thought I share my favourites. Sadly I won’t be able to get them all but they are too pretty to not find a home.

Style 1: The kitten heel

You can call any heel under 5cm a kitten heel but from my experience you have to be careful as it’s probably the only shoe that can age you by 20 years! But stop thinking granny shoes as there are some really funky ones around and not only do they look good, I see them as flat shoes as you can wear them all day, pain free! Well… mainly pain free.

Dune @Debenhams £65 v

Love this t-bar with a kitten wedge, my favourite

Gloriosa by Beatrix Ong £208 v

But enough of the kitten wedge

Dune@Debenhams £60 v

Salut Court by LK Bennett £145 v

Emi by Kurt Geiger £150 v

Metallic is definitely the way forward

Elf by Kurt Geiger £60 v

Let the shopping begin at London Fashion Weekend

catwalk_2

I’ve just come back from Somerset House and 180 The Strand, which after a week of the London Fashion Week is now kicking off the London Fashion Weekend in association with Elle where over 120 designers are offering fabulous discounts for their autumn/winter 09 collection. The event started yesterday and will be going on until the 27th September.

For me the highlight was certainly the catwalk which was hosted by Louise Row, who not only looked beautiful but was brilliant.

And check out the shoes!!

Sadly my camera by then was dying and I only managed to grab a few shots.

After the catwalk, with the goodie bag over my shoulder and a glass of champagne consumed, the shopping continued. Did I find anything? I did, but not for myself, a wicked leather jacket for my friend for £49!!

Get Autumn’s Hottest Ticket

image1

You can feel that September’s London Fashion Week is around the corner and the industry is all excited. So are we!!!

If you’re not one of the lucky ones officially invited to the events you can get a taster by attending the forthcoming London Fashion Weekend. You can browse and purchase (uh dangerous) the collections from hundreds of Fashion Week designer stands, most of which are manned by the designers themselves and best of all take a seat in the official British Fashion Council catwalk venue and watch a 40 minute professional catwalk show featuring directional designer trends.

With over 120 designers offering fabulous discounts, fashion and beauty tips from the experts and catwalk shows in the official London Fashion Week venue. Last season’s exhibitors included Luella, Ben de Lisi, Richard Nicoll, Lulu Guinness, Sass & Bide, Emma Cook, Beatrix Ong, Belle & Bunty, Eley Kishimoto, Kors by Michael Kors and Philip Treacy.

You can guarantee, with Autumn/Winter 2009 being described as the city’s most dazzling performance in years, the event will not disappoint.
