The Girl Can’t Talk, but she can certainly design!
This London based accessories designer, fashion blogger, and style addict has come to my attention because of her amazing blog Girl Can’t Talk (content & design wise)! But then it got even better as we’ve realised there is more to Kathy than just blogging!
Her collection of handmade, avant garde fashion accessories are incredible. From feathers to real human hair they will turn any top or dress you have into a statement piece. Maybe not everyday wear (although why not?), with a price tag under £50 (the human hair one is even under £25) for lovingly, handmade accessories there is no excuse not to have at least one of those in your wardrobe.
Limited Edition – Coque Feather, Leather, Stud and Chain bib

Wear and Tear
Cheung Lik, a Fashion Design graduate from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is a master of her chosen craft, jewellery design. With experience in different design disciplines her work mixes different styles from fashion and architecture. It’s surprising how many fashion/jewellery designers look to architecture for their inspiration.
Take a look at a few of my favourite creations from Cheung Lik:
Immix Knit
^ These two pieces combine knit and chains. They are so delicate and beautiful!
Daydream Nation
^ A collaboration with Daydream Nation – a mix of crochet wool and metal

London Jewellery Week – Starting…TODAY!

Today the London Jewellery Week is starting, celebrating a week long London’s unique position in the world of jewellery design, production and retail.
The cornerstone events form the basis of a week of activities across the city, encouraging visitors to experience and celebrate London’s diverse jewellery scene. These events support new designers, feature established names and give visitors a unique experience of London’s traditional jewellery quarters.
There should be an event for everyone as looking at the list of exhibitors, I’m gutted I’m currently not in London to traipse the streets!!
You can find out where and when the events will be held on their website and you can even sign up for a discount card.

Jade Mellor
Oooh, check out these gorgeous stone rings from jewellery maker Jade Mellor – a 3D design student based in Manchester…we ♥!
Taking inspiration from unique architectural structures from around the world, Jade certainly puts a spin on ‘the ring’. I’m a sucker for anything that’s unique and unconventional and these pieces do it for me!
Check out Jade’s blog here, or why not email her at jademellorjewellery@gmail.com for more info or for commissioned pieces.

Who’s been busy? Me!
And I don’t mean me as in I but ‘Me‘! The lovely Amma from ‘Me‘ has been busy creating new leather jewellery and has created some amazing ivy leaf bracelets and necklaces, they are so cute! And the best bit, she’s running a competition until end of the month where, if you sign up and then forward the email to friend and they sign up, you both are in the running for one of her amazing bracelets. It’s that easy!
But that’s not the only thing that kept her busy. She’s launched ‘Mini-Me‘ allowing you to shop in your own home! If you get a group of your friends round, you can add a little bonus to the evening by bringing ‘Me’ along. She’ll set up a display and you and your friends can browse her full collection. So far so good but it gets even better as the host is in for more than just a home shop but you’ll receive a ‘mini me’ voucher for £20 plus 10% of your total party sales to spend on items of your choice.

The secret diary of a handbag designer isn’t such a secret anymore…

And we’re so happy as we can now show you her full collection!!
Debs, who’s been writing the diary as well as creating her first line under her label ‘Clements’ has been an extremely busy lady over the last few month and it has been amazing to follow her dream. Looking at the end result, we are chuffed and so so proud of her as each and every bag of her collection is stunning (and no, we’re not just saying this because we’re slightly biased).
Myself, I’m the proud owner of the pony bag, made of midnight blue calf suede, which as soon as I laid eyes on it was mine and it goes pretty much with everything I own.
