Round 2 for my styling journey with the lovely Axel…

So we introduced you to Axel a little while ago and now to show you him in action :)

So Axel turns up at my house.. gosh is he ready to experience my really bad wardrobe!! First he asks me what I like… hmm to which he gets my random brain dump to get his head round.  Actually I don’t think I have ever thought about it properly. So into the wardrobe we go.. firstly the wardrobe is not very organised so hard for Axel to know where to start…

So he asks me what I like, what do I think, what could you put that with it… arr all back to me, I thought Axel was supposed to be the stylist!  However I eventually understand what he was trying to do.. empower me to make decisions. So we spent a couple of hours looking at what could go with what.. things I had never thought about.. suddenly my wardrobe didn’t seem so dull after all, but yes it still needs work. The session allowed Axel to get a real feel of what I had and the gaps.. as well as making me think for the first time.

So the next day we met at Zara (we were due to go to many other shops but ran out of time).. after getting nearly chucked out by the security guard we had to put the camera away – sorry Zara!!

Again Axel made me do the work so I started to pick things.. very difficult but again I could see what he was doing. You don’t want to be dependent on a stylist, ideally you ask them for the adding inspiration.. I was learning.

So off we went to the changing room and I was half inspired with my selection but then Axel kept appearing with new items that I would never have considered and they looked fab!!! I’m just not used to them.
Over an hour later we left with some amazing purchases.. and we were off to the LFW sample sale to see what other beauties we could find. So I managed to contain the spending (I bought 1 amazing cardigan – my bank card couldn’t have taken any more). Jeffrey joined us and you can see from Jeffreys face below he made a rather expensive purchase…

So what I have left to do.. currently mid arranging my wardrobe into items and colours.. and purchasing clear boxes for my jewellery (so I can see it as opposed to it all being dumped in a big box). Also uploading everything to the iPhone wardrobe app (it is great if you have the patience to take all the pictures.. I’m on a mission).

So the next and final article is to come.. I have the lovely Axel coming over one more time to see my new organised wardrobe.. one last shopping trip for him to empower me again and then I am going to try and be independent (well, I’ll try).. watch out for the before and after pictures to see the Axel effect :)
