Will I ever find the perfect gladiator sandal?

Have you ever refused to follow a trend because you thought it really wasn’t your cup of tea or didn’t suit you? For years I’ve refused to get excited about gladiator style shoes even when the shoe world went crazy for the Dior Gladiator Platforms as worn by Sarah Jessica Parker and so many other celebrities. That was until this summer, which is when I realised I have an outfit that is just screaming for a pair and actually there are some really nice ones out there.
However having spent hours traipsing around shops or online I’ve come across lots of shoes that I don’t want but many designers that I think could create the perfect one.
One of them is Emilia Suflet. Her ‘A Conspiracy of Crows’ collection for the University of the Arts London online Degree Show 2008 is stunning and the detail on the heel of the Erin collection is beautiful. Although not a gladiator, her style reflects what I love and believe in, it’s like a piece of art. She could probably design me the perfect one, but would she? Wouldn’t you love to team up with a designer you like to help you create your perfect shoe?
There is only one way to find out. I am now on a mission to have not any gladiator shoe but a bespoke one that will suit my style, my shape and my personality; it can’t be that difficult in this day and age when everything is just a click away.

Oh no, I’ve just checked too and it looks like the site is down – if temporary or for good I don’t know….
I can see if I can dig out her email address if you want to contact her about something – let me know if that helps.
