When did Stella turn bad?
I’m all for neutrals, and usually for Stella McCartney too; but I was a little sad when she unveiled her S/S 2010 Collection on the Paris runway at Fashion Week back in October 09. It made me sad because I wouldn’t have expected a collection like this from such a respected and fabulous designer like Stella. Pieces like the 7 below would not be looked at twice coming from an emerging designer, so why is there so much hype surrounding this collection? Fashion shouldn’t be about who you are, but what you create…right?
STELLA McCARTNEY’S S/S 2010 COLLECTION
My Top 7 Questionable Pieces ∨
Although Stella failed me on the neutral and denim side of things, these designers certainly didn’t…it’s all about the detail and silhouette for these guys. BEAUTIFUL!
∨ LANVIN S/S 2010 – Neutral, the one I ♥
∨ Ralph Lauren S/S 2010 – Reworked Denim, the one I ♥
∨ Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci S/S 2010 – Neutral, the one I ♥
Lanvin, Ralph Lauren and Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci are perfect examples of how neutral and denim can be elegant and understated, not forgettable…
Now, it wouldn’t be fair not see some good in the collection, so here are my top 3 from Stella McCartney’s S/S 2010 Collection:
I hope we get to see a bit more originality in Stella’s A/W 2010 Collection…I would love to see more of the soft detail that she is so famous for!

I have to agree too, also it really feels like I’ve seen it before. I know fashion comes back time after time but this just feels a little bit lazy….luckily not all is bad and we do love Stella (personally I looove her perfume especially). x
