Yes you can!!!

As you know a week ago I got all excited about the book signing at the Black Truffle shop for the newly released ‘Shoe Design’ book. Although it was pouring down with rain on the night, the shop was buzzing and packed out!

Rachel Jones and Aki Choclat who wrote it, signed the book and had time to chat to everyone (the book is fab, but I’ll be blogging about that another time). When it was my turn we chatted about Emerging Fervour for a bit, which is when Aki mentioned they also offer shoe making courses. He then led me to the basement to show me their workshop and introduced me to Melissa Needham, founder of footwear independent Black Truffle.

It turns out you can make your own court shoe in 5 days!! Melissa had my full attention and so many questions popped into my head. It wasn’t the right time to go into detail but she kindly agreed that I could chat with her about how Black Truffle is also home to the Prescott & Mackay School of Fashion and Accessory Design.
