London Fashion Week: our favourite designers

London Fashion Week is usually the place to see and be seen, to bitch and be bitched about and to see the next big thing. Walking onto the courtyard, you’re instantly taken aback by the amout of trendy people there are on show.
In this piece we’ll be focussing on designers we saw and loved at London Fashion Week. LFW is made up of seven blocks, spanning two sites and hosting over 200 designers. It’s no wonder that this is one of the most prestigious fashion events in the world. To see the full exhibition list go to the London Fashion Week site in the meantime, check out our favourites.
CLEO BARBOUR

Probably my favourtie designer because I absolutey adored the pink boots – around £360 retail price and loved Cleo even more. With so much talent, it’s no surprise that she already has an online boutique and various stockists. Educated at the prestigious Cordwainer’s College at the London College of Fashion, and trained at the Salvatore Ferrangano design studio in Florence, Cleo has created a niche of her own in the London fashion scene by launching her up and coming shoe label ‘CLEO B’.
Inspired by Art Deco architecture and the distinctive New York skyline, her new collection, which we saw at her stand, is made up of 15 styles including open-toe shoe boots with bold cut out features, stunning strappy wedges, fresh and summery espadrille flats and a colourful revival of the mule. This season’s adornments are in the shape of the solid tri-colour deco glass structures, as well as glistening metallic studs that are featured on boots and flats. The colour palette sees delicate neutrals and rose-gold metallic snake off-set with contrasting bold fuchsia, purple patent and turquoise cracked metallic leather.
Her collection above is not yet on sale online or with her stockists but be sure to check her site for her latest collection!

TATTY DEVINE

Ahhh Tatty Devine…the type of jewellery that I would love to wear, but would I be able to pull it off is the question? We met Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden, the brains behind it all at their stand at 180 The Strand. Understandably they were curious to find out about Emerging Fervour and most importantly, what we’d be doing with our shots of them. We think they’re fabulous, and why wouldn’t we when their pieces make such a statement that are verging on being pieces of art.
A few pieces from their previous collection really caught my eye and I had to share. I so want that brooch and necklace!
For information on buying any of Tatty Devine’s pieces, you can visit their online store
They also have stores in both Brick Lane and Soho and as far as I know, nothing internationally.

FRED & GINGER

We had to write about Fred & Ginger because we just loved the designer, Victoria Holt when we met her. Of course her pieces are to die for. Victoria is the former designer for international fashion house Jenny Packham. Bringing her flair and expertise to Fred & Ginger, which creates luxurious intimates with an elegant and contemporary design edge.
When we met Victoria at her beautiful stand at the ‘Boudoir’ section of LFW, she was so happy to talk to us about her pieces. We really want to hear more on her – we better be quick as we can tell Victoria is one busy lady…
I had a look at some of Fred & Ginger’s past collections taken from their website…underwear is something every woman should invest in. Look how beautiful these pieces look.
Luckily, we have a range of stockists for Freg & Ginger
