Elliott J. Frieze A/W 10 show at Victoria House

I left Nathalie’s house glowing for the Frieze show at 11am…my hair straightened (blow-dried can I add), my clothes were sparkling and my makeup was all in place. Unfortunately, true to form – I forgot my umbrella so I forced Nathalie to share… 45 minutes and half an umbrella later, I arrive at Victoria House to meet my friend Ayse, whose helping me with the photography and I catch a glimpse of my reflection in the window, and I’m a little shocked at the speed at which I turned into a mess. I couldn’t turn back, so had to face the music and head inside.

This was Frieze’s debut womenswear and menswear collection launch so the atmosphere was buzzing with intrigue and excitement. What was going to come down that runway? Check out our highlights from the show below.

I actually like this designer…and I like the whole British heritage idea behind this collection. It gives the pieces some depth and it’s nice to see a story behind it all.

London Fashion Week write of the designer: The collection embodies his natural design philosophy and signature British Classics entwined with modernity. Alongside elegant drapery, an amalgamation of texture, Elliot drives the boundaries of structured tailoring to produce a collection of intellectual depth and timeless sophistication. Inspired by British country pursuits, rolling landscape and a progressive, reinvigoration classic mien, the 30 ensemble Autumn/Winter collection comprises English wools, cashmere and napa with delicately encrusted semi-precious Tigers Eye quartz. A/W 2010 collection palette portray’s the turning of the leaf represented by cognac, mocha and burnt sienna and the bleak arctic grey of winter. His directional womenswear collection focuses on advanced tailoring trimmed with detail of natural elements together with Metropolis cocktail dresses embedded with semi precious stone for the evening. For the fashion conscious male he presents a sophisticated, modern collection of classic and hybrid tailored cuts from the finest traditional English cloth. Elliott J. Frieze presents a collection true to his British heritage and set to be a firm favourite on the British Fashion Circuit.

Hi prom girl, thanks for the lovely words. We’ve not got a sign up for blogs but are putting something up every day and hopefully there shouldn’t be something new every time you return. We’ll make a note though and will add a sign up to post when we enhance the site next. Love Emerging Fervour xxx
