William Austin’s ‘Lust’
I’m new to the Emerging Fervour collective and before I jump in with William Austin, I’ll give you a quick introduction. I’m Mara, a student doing a human biology degree, a wife and mother of 1.3 kids. Science has it’s ups, but I’m really into art so when Emerging Fervour suggested I write for the blog and use this outlet for my suppressed creativity, I jumped at the chance. There’s only so much creativity you can have in finger painting
I decided to write my first post about emerging artist William Austin, who at only 24 has 12 exhibitions under his belt with a BA in fine art. His work is created with inspiration from the masters of impressionism and landscapes, which he then channels into abstract form. The titles given to his paintings are left quite loose to let the viewer make their own understanding of the pieces.
< Cause and Effect
One of his paintings for sale, this one feels somewhat eerie and the drip association here is glum, a contrast to the painting below.
Ho ho ho Emerging Fervour is wishing you a Merry Christmas
Mo Kiddo interview
Mo Kiddo is an emerging artist gaining much praise inside the international art scene. We covered a little bit about him last month in our ‘Fashion in Art’ piece, check it out; and with his artwork on display at some pretty cool galleries around Belgium, here in London we want to see more.
Emerging Fervour are so happy to present this exclusive UK interview with the artist himself.

EF: They say one is born with creativity – can you tell us exactly where your talent came from?
MK: I am a product of my environment, my behaviour, body language and personality are shaped by the social and political surroundings I dwell in. As an artist that’s how I became creative; I began expressing myself through art as soon as I felt I couldn’t express myself enough in the outside world. That was my therapy. What defines me as an artist is all about how I felt with my emotions. This created my so called unique visual persona.
Fashion in art: Mo Kiddo

When we first checked out Mo Kiddo’s portfolio, it was obvious that fashion and creativity were his two passions.
Talking to Mo in downtown Beirut, he explains that from the age of about 13 he realised that he wanted to go on to pursue a career in art and fashion. His main influence in his life is his mother, who taught him everything he knows about fashion today. He’s just 18, but seeing his work grow from strength to strength over the years makes me wonder what the future holds for him…something good I bet.
I’ve been promised an interview so watch this space for more words about Mo Kiddo.
