Wanted: Beard Cap

Who wouldn’t? Not only will it keep you warm all over your face but having a boyfriend that decided to grow a beard, I’d rather kiss the wool one… seems less stubbly…
It gets even better, you can choose your moustache shape on top of it – love it!!

Wanted: M-Dress by CuteCircuit

The M-Dress is a silk jersey dress that is also a functional soft electronics mobile phone!!! The M-Dress accepts a standard SIM card and allows the wearer to receive and make calls without carrying a cellular phone in their pocket or purse. Simplicity is elegance.
This was designed after their research showed that very often phone calls are missed because mobile phones are quite awkward to carry, especially for women, that have garments with small or no pockets - ingenious other than where the heck do you put the keys?
Soon to be available at CuteCircuit»

Beautiful Soul SS11 is something special
Happy Friday everyone! I’ve got the perfect thing for your afternoon: A bit of piece of loveliness, sit back and enjoy!
Eco-aware fashion label, Beautiful Soul, teamed up with photographer Oliver Prout, illustrator Zarina Liew and recording artist Gabby Young, to create a short film to celebrate their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, ‘Believe’.
What a great way to showcase the talents of so many people! The graphics and sound are perfect for the collection.
Inspired by the recent Grace Kelly exhibition at Victoria and Albert Museum, the new collection focuses on the feminine 1950’s silhouette with a twist of the Orient.

And there is something for the boys too. The all new menswear collection will include a capsule range of casual blazers and tailored suits, upcycled from both vintage kimonos and the retro bird print.

Tope Tijani
Textile Designer Tope Tijani’s latest jewellery collection is so spectacular it’s hard to believe she created it all in her bedroom! It shows that you really can work with what you’ve got and make the best of the situation.

Using everyday photos that documented her life as a starting point, Tope created geometric patterns, which were then digitally printed onto clear flexible plastic. The end result is a collection that is vibrant, eccentric and enticing.
Cindel necklace
I love this Cindel necklace because it demonstrates a modern and exciting approach to tasselling, which allows for movement despite being made up of solid rectangles of plastic. It’s Wham Bam jewellery… not for the faint hearted! I happily tried it on and it is surprisingly light and comfortable to wear. In addition to necklaces, the tassels are also available in earrings, brooches and keyrings.
Janyd brooch
I have my eye on the Janyd brooch, it would really brighten up a really simple shirt or jacket and give the effect of a military medal!
Beirut calling – Bags
I’ve just come back from Beirut after spending a couple of weeks grazing out there whilst the lovely Nat has been blogging every day the trooper! My trip wasn’t just a holiday though, it was in preparation for my permanent move out there in the next couple of months – yes, my secret destination is Beirut city! None of my friends believe that I’m actually doing it this time; it’s pretty much been the same story since graduating – but it really is happening – promise!
Deciding to move wasn’t an easy task…but my 2 weeks there finally convinced me that this was a challenge I was up for…the middle-east’s fashion capital!
Downtown Beirut
Souks in Beirut
In a series of blogs, we’ll explore the the fashion and lifestyle do’s and don’ts in this small city, preparing me for what’s to come.
Bag Ladies
There are 2 types of females in Beirut. Those who are driven by designer brands and the rest of us who are content to explore.
Are you feeling neurotic today?

Mh, not really but as I’m sitting here looking out of the window into the wet and cold, I feel like autumn. And autumn means starting to wrap up, cosy and comfy materials are coming out which leads me to Neurotica, who has the perfect autumn wardrobe.
I’ve had a look at their AW/10 collection, “Thief in the night”, at London a la Mode in February and while the pieces where explained to me, I couldn’t stop caressing the material as the jersey used in most of the garments felt soooo lovely, I just wanted to snuggle up in it.
I love this collection as it’s moody and mystical, yet playful. The prints, shapes and themes make them unique, yet the material makes them amazingly comfy and really practical (yes, yes, the Swiss is always in me!).
